Family Session in Stokesdale, NC

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Goodwin family—Ashley, Briar, Hollis, and sweet little Lily—right on their beautiful property in Stokesdale, North Carolina. I've had the joy of documenting this family’s journey over the years, from Ashley and Briar welcoming their first child, to now raising two precious little ones.

Our session started in a wide-open field on their land, where golden light, grass, and trees created the perfect backdrop for natural, heartfelt family portraits. We then made our way down to the creek that winds through their property, offering a peaceful and playful setting for more candid moments.

Lily was an absolute ray of sunshine throughout the session—full of smiles and pure joy. Her sweet personality lit up every frame. Hollis, like many little ones, took a few minutes to warm up to the camera, but some quick games and sneaky shutter clicks captured those genuine smiles that every parent loves. He’s absolutely adorable, and I always enjoy photographing him.

Sessions like these are what I love most about being a family photographer in Stokesdale and the surrounding areas. Getting to see families grow over the years and capturing each new chapter is truly a gift.
